Dear Members and Friends,
In the past month a considerable progress has been achieved in regards to installing robot mowers and developing holes 1 and 2.
Since week 25 fairway 1 has been regurarely cut at 20mm hight. In week 27 was performed the inicial cut of fairway 2. A major chalange was to determin the outtline of fairways with all the features (hills and hollows) being concidered in order to set the robots cutting. A number of re-adjustments were implemented to deliver smooth and predictable outline of fairways.
As soon as the weather cools and rain forecasted, a liquid fertilizer will be applied on newly developing areas, to promote further grass growth.
Major drainage work was performed around tee boxes and in the begining of fairway on hole 2. Very old, unknown, drainages caused constant flooding and wetness. All issues has been addressed, old drainages have been connected to existing new drainage system and issues corrected. Here credits goes to Jan Andersen (banekomitéleder), who organized and implemented all the planing and work on site. Thank you Jan!
So far greens cope well with the presense of almost constant winds and high temperatures. Liquid fretilizer and wetting agent has been applied to minimize water usage, yet keep them vital.
Having irrigation system on new tee boxes 1 and 2 fast farwarded growth and turf look promising.
Newly developing tee 5 was previosly seeded and grass already germinated. Due to lack of water access, growth is very reduced, but present.
On the behalf of Greenkeepers team and banekomité, visiters are kindly asked to use the bins for their used cigaret buds/snus and avoid the use of plastic step tees (pegger). Thank you for your cooperation .
